- 2oz butter
- 1oz cocoa
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 2oz walnuts, chopped
- 4oz butter
- 6oz caster sugar
- 2oz plain flour
Set oven @ Gas 4 (180C;350F)
Method:
- Melt the 2oz butter and add 1oz cocoa. mix welland put to one side
- Cream 4oz butter and 6oz caster sugar, add the 2 eggs gradually, beat well
- Add 2oz flour, 2oz walnuts and cocoa mixture.
- Put into a 7" greased square cake tin and bake until firm (approx 45 mins)
- Leave to cool in the tin, when cold turn out and cut into small squares
- Sprinkle with caster sugar and top with walnuts
- Store in an airtight tin
DO NOT OVERBAKE!
